The 3 keys to life – Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom

Knowledge – is information
People always want to turn to prayer. Prayer is good but what we need is information.

Someone they know is having a problem and the person says “Will you pray for me.”

Prayer does not cancel ignorance. Sometimes instead of prayer we need someone to show us some books with the information needed for the situation we are dealing with.

No matter how much someone prays it will not solve the situation. God is not a Genie that answers wishes. You need: Skills, Knowledge, Principles to understand and deal with the situation at hand.

If someone walks up to you and says “I know nothing about men/women.” Prayer will not solve that. Wisdom and knowledge is what is needed.

Ignorance is dangerous!

If two teenagers have a baby together, they need knowledge. Prayer can help lead the right person into your life to provide knowledge but prayer does not download information into your brain.

Understanding – is comprehension, you understand the information

You just can’t hear the word of God, you must understand what you’re hearing.

Wisdom – is Application, you cannot apply what you do not understand

You cannot understand, what you do not know.

STOP! Trying to make the Holy Spirit your spouse.

Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and he will bring to your remembrance the things you learned.

People think the Holy Spirit will tell you things, gives you information; not so.

Jesus said: The Holy Spirit will reside in you and he will bring to YOUR remembrance what you have learned. So the Holy Spirit is searching within you to try and solve your problem but he can’t find any knowledge to bring to your rememberance.

John 14:25-27
All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

You cannot apply what you do not understand. And you cannot understand what you cannot know.

Being old does not mean you are wise! Being old means you are old.

There are plenty of old dumb people. Age does not mean wisdom.

The person that really got through to Job was the young man that said I kept quiet because I thought age should speak. But then he said when I heard the foolishness of the aged ones, I decided to speak.

Job 32:6-9

o Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said:

“I am young in years,
    and you are old;
that is why I was fearful,
    not daring to tell you what I know.I thought, ‘Age should speak;
    advanced years should teach wisdom.’ But it is the spirit[a] in a person,
    the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding. It is not only the old[b] who are wise,
    not only the aged who understand what is right.

Old people are full of regrets (Regret is experience you wish you never had)

There is no substitute for knowledge. Sometimes you know something but you don’t apply the information, into your life properly.

Truth is Original Information
When Jesus said: ‘I am the Way, Truth and the Life’ He was saying I Am the way to the original information that gives you life.

Truth is ALWAYS from the source!
Anything other than the source, is an opinion.
