Everything Must Go!

The words “Everything Must Go” are three words that when people see them it just transforms them into buying zombies. Even if a person had no intentions of shopping or buying anything, it is funny how quickly things change when you see the three words Everything Must Go.

When we see these words at our favorite store, our eyes light up because in many cases that means they will usually mark down prices lower than the discounted price shown. Many times a store will do this because they have new inventory coming so they need to make room by getting rid of the old.

We also must have this mentality in our life. Everything in our life that is not benefitting us or making us better Must Go in 2019 to make room for an awesome 2020!

For instance:
BITTERNESS must go because it’s taking up space that JOY needs to be.
MISERY must go because it’s taking up space that PURPOSE needs to be.
DEPRESSION you can’t stay because JOY is in your place.

Everything Must Go is a mindset. We need to strip away everything that doesn’t benefit us.

No one lives everyday happy with a positive mindset. We try but sometimes that Joy or happiness is stripped from our hands and we experience negativity and bitterness. Guess what! It’s OK…

Remember God made us with all the emotions that make us who we are but the key is having many, many, many more good positive days and moments than the negative. And when negative bitter moments try to creep into our life, we must instantly rebuke it and say I am a child of the most high God and under him he allows me to make all things possible.

Hopefully this verse will help inspire and give you a pick me up. Matthew 26: 69-75 (NKJV)

Peter Denies Jesus, and Weeps Bitterly

69 Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.” 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are saying.” 71 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!” 73 And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, “Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.” 74 Then he began to a]”>[a]curse and b]”>[b]swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!” Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.

Regardless if you read the Bible often or not at all, most people have heard of Peter and know he was one of Jesus’ apostles. So lets talk about the verse 69-75

Peter, walked with Jesus. Saw his miracles in person. Had a relationship with Him that not many can boast about but yet he denied knowing Jesus. His FAITH was stripped away. Sometime all it takes is one incident to change your whole perspective on life. For Peter it was seeing Jesus being spat upon, whipped and hung on a cross like a common criminal. For Peter, he was probably saying in his head how could this be happening to God in the flesh. Everything he came to know and believe was being shaken. That will be the case for many of us in 2020 and the years ahead.

This is important!
What Peter didn’t understand is that, Jesus was shifting into his ultimate purpose so Peter needed to shift also. Although we see things with our eyes it is not always what it looks like. in 2020 and beyond many of us will experience things in our life we didn’t expect or in some cases we were preparing for but the shift was more than we expected.

Sometimes God shifts on us when we’re least expecting but it’s a must if he is going to take you into the next phase of your life.

We can’t move forward until we remove the old items from our life.
