Many think that when our life is going through a storm that we will just need to pray until God fixes the condition and once he fixes the condition is when we will flourish. I’m here to tell you, that is not the way God works.
Guess what? You will flourish with the condition not fixed. Trouble on your left and trouble on your right. You don’t know how to fix it and don’t know where your help is coming from. We all need to learn how to flourish in the midst of the storm otherwise we will not flourish at all.
God doesn’t need to stop the storm, He walks on top of the storm.
Lets look at the early church. Believers were being rounded up, put in jail, etc…. If that were happening today many in the church would scatter, lose faith, run and hide. (and many believe that is a time coming). People are with you when things are going good but when things are going bad and all H-E-L-L is breaking lose and you get in trouble for your loyalty, people get real quiet, intimidated and insecure. God was allowing Saul to wreak havoc in Jerusalem that it got so bad that the disciples had to scatter.
Often God has to scatter you and take you out of your comfort zone in order to put you in a place of vulnerability so you have no choice but to trust him. God will allow everyone you love to hurt you and let you down so you have no where else to turn, except to God.
While the disciples were scattering, Phillip went down to Samaria. And that is exactly where God wanted him to be because up until then the Gospel and the teaching of the Holy Spirit was only being preached to the Jews but the Good News is for EVERYONE so God needed Phillip to preach the message to the Gentiles.
Phillip goes down to Samaria and Samaria is a mess because Simon the sorcerer is creating havoc. All it takes is one person to enter your life and turn it upside down. It’s interesting to see how dumb, smart people get when a manipulater enters the scene. Phillip said if one man can cast a spell, one man can cast them out.
Some like to think we own Jesus. Say who is Saved and who is not. Remember his name shall be called IMMANUEL (God is with US) Not God is with you.
God I ask you to send courageous people that know who they are. They don’t need a crowd response to authenticate their anointing. The power of God in “YOU” is stronger than the world against YOU. That understand we don’t need everyone to endorse US or legitimize US. God send people who will allow there Yes be Yes and there No be No.

Phillip upset the city, he delivered people, rebuked the spell over Samaria. Even Simon the Sorcerer got SAVED. The Bible says Simon got baptized and believed.
