Defy The Urge To Quit
Some people quit because things are out of control. Nobody quits what they can control. But the moment you don’t get your way, or you get corrected or reprimanded the first thing the immature mind says is I QUIT!!!
When you go to church the message is usually about sins of the flesh. Not being an adulterer, not being a whoremonger we give those things so much stage that being a weakling in the spirit can go undetected.
As long as your not doing drive by shootings, or in a club climbing down a pole you could pass for a Christian.
Many of us are well when it comes to physical sins. The Bible calls them sins of the flesh. There are sins of the flesh and sins of the spirit. Some things attack your flesh and some attack our spirit.
Some of us have a terrible time controlling our fleshly sins and have real good character as it relates to other areas of our life. And others that don’t drink, smoke etc… you can’t find out what’s wrong with them until your married or in a relationship with them or on the job with them or just interact with them daily.
Now you find out they don’t keep there word. They give up easy. They don’t keep there assignments. You can’t trust them to stand by you. They won’t take a drink for nothing in the world but when you need them to stand by you, they can’t be found.
Sometimes you rather have the other person in a dog fight than a person that is morally good but there character is so defected that you don’t know what they’ll do from one moment to the next.
We have no idea the amount of blows some people take behind the scenes in there heart, in there character, in there masculinity or femininity trying to cope with life but instead of quitting, they finish. They make it to the end of the race, whatever that race may be. A marriage, a job, a project whatever it is.
It’s amazing to see someone that finishes outside of convenience.
